Lighting the the Way

The first spoken words in the Bible we all know very well…יהי אור… let there be light or literally “light be”.

I believe this is one powerful statement to reflect on.  In those words God is setting an example for us to follow.  I believe he was not only speaking a physical light into being, but a foundation for us, including…

an illumination that we are to follow
a revelation that demands a response
an order including his will, plans and purposes
and a distinction and separation.

And he saw that it was GOOD!

When looking at the book of John,  The Word, Messiah Yeshua, being with God and being God, was from the beginning.   Yeshua spoke…יהי אור…and all creation into being. He made (indicating past, present and future)  ALL things.

In him Was LIFE, and that life was the light of man.  His life is our light. The true light, available to every person.  Therefore In Messiah Yeshua…

we have illumination that we are to follow
revelation that demands a response
the expression of order, including his will, plans and purposes
and this brings about a distinction and separation
-His Kingdom here on earth.

To whoever receives him, who believes and trusts in His name, to these he gave the right to become children of God.

Children of light, walking in illumination, not darkness
responding and believing in him increasing our faith and choosing truth
seeking His will, plans and purposes for our lives.
Bringing a distinction and separation, being in the world but not of the world.
Entering His kingdom here on Earth.
