Is Deception like a Magnet?

I have a few questions…

Why was Eve so attracted to the apple?
Why wouldn’t Cain repent, but instead killed his brother?
Why would an entire world choose evil and then be lost in the flood?
Why would a whole people believe it was good to build a tower to the heavens?

Is deception a spiritual magnet?

Deception is the enemy’s playground. The enemy operates in the twisting of words. He operates in the twisting of thoughts. If he can get an individual to believe a lie, he wins. If he can get an individual to believe a lie and then perpetuate it infecting others, he wins the battle.

• Why didn’t Eve run to G-d to ask Him if the serpent was speaking the truth?
• Eve had a relationship with G-d, why didn’t she just ask?
• How did she get caught up in deception and then act without verifying it?
• Was there something at work inside her thoughts?
• Did she want to believe that she could be equal to G-d?
• Where was the thankfulness for all that was given to her?
• Where was the gentleness, compassion, kindness, humility to seek His counsel first?  Seeking His understanding, His knowledge, His wisdom above her twisting thoughts.

Can we stop and recognize deception?  How do we stop it’s spread?  How do we fight against it?

We are a new creation in Messiah Yeshua, our mind is renewed through our transformation.

“Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭TLV‬

Words from G-d bring life.

“For the word of G-d is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword—piercing right through to a separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to judge the thought and intentions of the heart.” Heb 4:12 TLV

The Word of G-d is perfect, is life, and the light of men.

“Yeshua spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows Me will no longer walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”‭‭  John 8:12 TLV

“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it.”  John‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭TLV‬‬

Deception is darkness, absent of light.  When in darkness we stumble and fall.  Light shows a path of where and how we should walk.

Where am I today?  Where are you today?
Are we living a life in deception? What lies are creeping into our minds? What untruths are living inside us? How do we know? What can we do?

The only antidote that can rid us of this pandemic of deception is Truth.  But how is truth made known?  Who will carry it?

“Yeshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭TLV‬‬

“But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on His own; but whatever He hears, He will tell you. And He will declare to you the things that are to come.”  ‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭13‬ ‭TLV

Who will speak truth?  Who will practice truth?  Who will allow it to enter their hearts and lives?

“Now this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world and men loved the darkness instead of the light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, so that their deeds will not be exposed. But whoever practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be made known that his deeds have been accomplished in God.”  ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ ‭TLV‬‬

All are intended to find their way back to the Father through Messiah Yeshua.  For He is our compass, he is the map, he is the direction for us to follow…home to our Heavenly Father.

All are intended, but not everyone will take the opportunity, not everyone will accept the grace that was given to all mankind.

All must contemplate, decide and choose in which direction to go…

Truth—our G-d, who is absolutely good, and His plans and purposes through Messiah Yeshua

Deception—the enemy, evil; which kills, steals, and destroys; leading to spiritual death and everlasting separation from Good.

Today, in this world of disinformation and misinformation, navigating towards Truth can be successful through a sound reading, hearing and knowledge of the Word of G-d.  Let him have ears to hear!  The enemy is using man to try to make the Bible irrelevant, lowering its importance in the lives of people all around therefore mitigating and minimizing truth.

Stand strong, do not waiver, do not allow the enemy a footing in your life, not even an inch.  When we stand firm with a heart full of faith and walk in righteousness and peace we can then resist the enemy, and you will then see that Truth will triumph!

“Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist when the times are evil, and after you have done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm then! Buckle the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. Strap up your feet in readiness with the Good News of shalom. Above all, take up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”  ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬-‭17‬ ‭TLV‬‬
